MAAST provides assessment and stabilization for children admitted to the Stollery Children’s Hospital with underlying acute mental health and/or addiction concerns that do not require immediate psychiatric care. The team includes Mental Health Therapists and Addiction Counselors. If clinically indicated after their assessment, MAAST clinicians can connect with a Pediatric Consultation and Liaison Psychiatry Team psychiatrist for support with care.
