Description of Service

Integrated mobile and outreach services designed to support street-involved individuals, both youth and adults, affected by harmful substance use. Their mission is to reach those who often fall through the cracks, providing a lifeline for the underserved and homeless population disconnected from traditional support networks. Contracted agencies, driven by the goals of PMAOI, are committed to:

  • addiction services: Delivering essential addiction services to those engaged in harmful substance use
  • meet individuals where they are: providing services in informal settings through mobile outreach, creating safe environments for clients to feel heard and supported
  • comprehensive support: conducting screening, assessments, brief interventions, naloxone training, and facilitating referrals to other addiction services
  • capacity building: enhancing other community agencies’ abilities in addiction treatment and knowledge of referral sources through consultation and training opportunities
