Referral Pathway

The program is for children, youth and families living in or connected to the Alexander, Alexis Nakoda Sioux, Enoch Cree and Paul First Nations.

Caregivers, schools, children’s programs and community service providers (such as health and wellness centres) can refer.

Description of Service

Various streams of service to support the mental health of Indigenous children, youth and families. All services are based in Indigenous cultures, worldviews and spiritualties. Families can receive support via the following streams:

School-Based Mental Health Program: Provides mental health education and treatment to children and teens in partner First Nation and Métis schools. This stream also provides professional development and consultation for school administrations and educators.

First Nations, Métis and Inuit Mental Health Services: Provides trauma and culturally-informed mental health services to Indigenous children, teens and their families. Families can access these services at CASA’s Edmonton locations, or right in their community.


Indigenous Wellness Support Services: Provides culturally-based services to patients participating in other CASA programs and services.
