Provides information and education to families with children with a possible or confirmed diagnosis of prenatal alcohol or drug exposure, or fetal alcohol spectrum disorder (FASD). Families can receive support via the following streams:
One-on-one coaching: Families who complete the above group may also choose to receive individual coaching for specific circumstances or challenges related to parenting and FASD. Consultative services: CASA’s FASD educator can provide information and resources, and can assist in navigating FASD services available in the community.
FASD group: This educational group builds on caregivers’ strengths to better meet their child’s needs. Caregivers learn strategies and practice everyday parent-child interactions. Children will have the opportunity to work on social skills through structured activities. The group takes place once per week for eight weeks.
